Problem: A TextMe Note Dragged To The Desktop Cannot Be Opened Solution: This happens because Windows does not recognise the file extension of the note. This is because TextMe does not use the file extension system, unless you specify it in the name of the note. To allow a note to be recognised by Windows before you drag it to the desktop: 1. Select the note you want to drag to the desktop 2. Press the rename button in TextMe's toolbar 3. Add ".txt" (without the quotation marks) to the end of the name of the note 4. Press Ok 5. Drag the note to the desktop Windows will now recognise the note as a text file. This bug also applies to opening notes in TextMe's TextFiles folder from Windows Explorer and My Computer. A fix for this bug will be included in TextMe version 2.0. For more information, refer to Handy Tip #1 in the note Welcome To TextMe, present in the note database of all new installations of TextMe.
